M. André wrote to me on the 2nd Feb., 1999:
I hold Adolf Scherbaum in the highest esteem. He was the torchbearer for a whole generation, particularly in my youth.
I believe that this respect for him is world-wide, felt both by the youth of today and by people of my age.
