Sweet memories of lectures in the Old College building ... if it happened at all that the lecturer's words did not completely occupy all one's senses for a moment, one could look out of one of the tall windows ... and watch the sea roll in.

Another set of dear memories: Music. In my time, Professor Parry was Head of the Music Department and David Russell Hulme conducted all the Gilbert and Sullivan operas (one at a time); it was great.
